FAQ

Our concept is a bit different than most, so we know questions will arise! Here are some of our most frequently asked questions!
01
Is it really drop-in?
Yes! You never need to make a reservation or call ahead. Simply come on in, drop your kiddos off for as long as you need and pay for the time at the end of your visit. It's that easy.
03
Are staff trained?
Yes. Because we are a licensed facility staff must complete a certain number of training hours each year. CPR & First Aid are required as well.
05
What's the catch?
There isn't one. We are here to help! We know families need an extra set of hands and that all care needs don't fit one mold.
07
Are there full time kids?
Yes, we offer full-time care for families who are looking for a play-based center. We offer enriching activities throughout the day as well as ample time for play!
09
What do kids do?
Games, crafts, free play, science experiments, sensory play, outside time...we keep the kids busy! :)
02
Do you get full?
Like, never. Really. We've been doing drop-ins for over 10 years and have only been full less than 5 times. And that was only for about 15-30 minutes. We have room, come on in!
04
How does it work?
Register online and start visiting us as soon as it's completed. Full time, drop-in, and camps can all start same day!
06
Who runs it?
The Nook was opened by Katie Krivolavek, a former teacher and mom of 3. Check out our Staff page to learn more about our team.
08
Do you accept Title XX?
Yes! We accept Title XX for hourly and full-time care. We must have an authorization before you begin care. Please contact your caseworker to get set up.
10
What do we need?
Please check our Plan Your Visit page for detailed information, but mostly your kiddos and a pair of socks!
